people are running 50 shot nitrous without any problems... if you're really that concerned, wait for the eagle rods or just get them shot peened from a shop

actually our rods are the strongest part of our engine.. they are already forged and can take about 18lbs of boost on them.. however we can only get to 10lbs before out headgasket blows... and pinkytoe who isnt here anymore runs a custom 80 shot and hasnt had any problems with his internals

i thought the rods were like paper... that's what barney told me... he had them DOUBLE shotpeened to protect his engine... he's boosting like 17 pounds on his 2k1 and making a raw 275 hp at the wheels...

i heard that if you use a bottle warmer on your nitrous you get a few extra horsepower so maybe he's running a 75 shot with a warmer? i dunno.

that makes no sense at all...

if he's running 80 shot of nitrous, then the jets spray an 80 shot.. not 75 and a bottle warmer..

actually it does make sense...

a cold nitrous bottle can lose pressure therefor it isnt sending the amount of nitrous to the jets to get the full amount of horsepower the jets are supposed to be spraying. with a warmer bottle it helps build up pressure and send a higher rate of nitrous. reports have been made of up to 10+ HP gain than what was suppposed to be sprayed. (ie a 50 shot would then b increased to 60).
the jets dont "just spray an 80 shot" cuz thats whats hes running.
