How much time, money, and fab experience do you have? Because you're going to need lots of at least 2 of those things

the tricky part? They have done in the 6th and older gen, not the 7th gen, so you will need to start from fabricating mounts, finding some way to program the ECU, how to fit the trans, how to fit the engine in the car, etc.
people that actually finish the swap are the ones that do their research, investigate, find solutions for their problems. The moment you jumped in to ask without having done any research indicates you are not going to go through.
The ones that do it, they don't ask, they up and do
good luck

Re: Civic vs accord
one exception that comes to mind was an user in another forums, he started asking how to install a Jaguar V12 into a Mazda Miata.
He actually completed the job. Sadly he sold it and the guy who bought it destroyed the car....

Re: Civic vs accord
back then, the method was either cut the hood or raise the hood, looks like most went the raise the hood (for 6th Gen cars, mind you, never head of someone doing it on the 7th gen cars)

Re: Civic vs accord
being the first one to do also costs tens of thousands and years to figure things out
If you are up to it, please go ahead.
I am not saying you will not do it. There was one case that succeeded that i mentioned above.
Just stating the difficulties and the risks and the required sweat and time to complete job.
Not for the faint of the heart

Re: Civic vs accord
I don't think I really understand I guess aside from having to strategically place refabricated engine and transmission mounts to get the specific dialed in to a, T go to achieve the best placement and lineup of all parts in the sitituation so I guess what I'm saying is it placement of mounts is very strategic and properly done what else is there to create an issue

Re: Civic vs accord
there is no one that had done it. You will need to figure it out yourself and it could cost a lot and requires a looooong time to get it done.
a V6 (J-series engine) is considerably taller than the D17 and hard to fit in the engine bay in Layman terms)

Re: Civic vs accord
the other method have the engine low, but the oil pan is clearly visible under the car and may not be recommended for street cars (possibly the reason it is not used much, can't find many pics of 6th or older gen without a cut out hood)

Re: Civic vs accord
Please post your progress here, we will try to support as much as we know.
you might need to contact hasport for engine/trans mounts, figuring out what engine/trans/axles might work and hondata to see what option of ECU you could have
