Engine swapping ?
I daily drive a D17A1 engine for my 7th gen civic and I’m trying to figure out what will give me more HP without sacrificing a lot of MPG

Power = Less gas

Unless you want a fairly new engine setup like the turbo L15.
...but that's not worth the time or money.

A K20A2 from an '02-'04 RSX will get you 200 HP and still get 30-35 mph highway. I was getting around 33 on mostly back roads.
