need information about d17a6 to d17a swap Hello guys! I'm new and ive heard great things about this forum! so I have a 2001 Honda civic HX d17A6 USDM motor in the vehicle at this time, and I currently have about 250-260k miles, and after doing a head gasket job the cam shaft pulley snapped and bent the valves in cylinder 1-2 , so I'm thinking of swapping the motor just to a stock motor for reliability.
All the shops near me only sell a D17A JDM motor, I was curious if I bought that motor and put It in the car, will it work with the stock HX tranny? Is there anything special I need to do ? and will I throw a check engine light? will I be able to pass smog? if there is already a post about this id be willing to check it out, please link it below! all comments are welcomed!!!
