Possible Rotrex kit for d17 engine

i have been contacting a supplier of the rotrex superchargers and am at the point of sending in pics of the engine bay and the mounting points on the block where the A/C compressor bolts too trying to see if we can get a limited supplied kit for this engine. Hoping for the best. will post news as soon as i hear back from him.

actually, there has been a lot done for the D17... Since you've been around since 07, you've probably seen some of it, but seeing as how you only have 22 posts, then maybe not.

Paul from Dezod used to be a super active vendor here, and they developed a pretty nice turbo kit for the D17. They've since moved on to different platforms, but they still have a dedicated 7thgen civic section on their site.

I think the most power I've seen come out of a D17 was andyman's D17A1 with an -a2 head making 489whp and something like 390 torque. The D17 has potential, but usually involves a good amount of cash to make it powerful.

I've seen them around, just nothing really practical. Superchargers "generally" tend to not be so crazy. I have an 05 with 230k miles so i drove the heck out of it. I mostly used it to commute, but it would be nice to have a little more power like around 200-250hp. i think any more than that is too much for my needs. When my car is only worth 3k or less it's just not super practical to drop 2-3 grand on it. Right now it handles like a dream, dropped all the money previously on suspension/handling and i can't complain. I always yearned for more power, i think a supercharger would be nice.
