d16y8 Intake Manifold

Ok, so I found the DIY from a few years ago about how to do this swap. However, all images in it now have broken links. I want to do the swap here in the next month or so and was wondering if there has been an updated DIY with pics you can actually view.

It's pretty uncommon to use a skunk2 im, since it requires the firewall trimming..

You're not the one who wrote the DIY by any chance, are you?

Re: d16y8 Intake Manifold

Yeah I looked into doing this swap a few months ago. knife edged my throttle plate and the car ran like SHEET! replaced the whole throttle body with one from an 03 at the yard and it ran perfectly. Lesson learned: messing with the intake system too much will cause the car to run bad. Im not even going to attempt this swap until i get K-Pro. Which will hopefully be soon

Re: d16y8 Intake Manifold

@Djarmyssg did the d16y8 bracket for mounting the bottom of the manifold to the block fit on your engine? And what kind of injectors are you running?

Re: d16y8 Intake Manifold

Those are stage 0 srt-4 injectors (unless I'm wrong somehow). That manifold support brace is totally useless and unnecessary.

Baron hit the nail on the head.. Bracket is TOTALLY useless!! And Yuppers. Those are SRT-4 Stage 0.. But im running 58PSI of fuel pressure, which makes the injectors 588cc If my memory serves me. But imma bump up to 80PSI and make them work at 690cc!!!

Oh I recognize your build from the other site now Dj, nice to see you over here!

Here's hoping Dezod goes through with putting the tubular turbo manifold back into production.
