It's been done twice using custom parts in show/race cars, it's not street legal and would cost more than a k-swap since you need to have the mounts made specifically for your car.
If you want to do a swap into your 7g the most affordable option you have is a k20a3.

Other than the b18c5 the k20a3 is just as good as any B-series engine.
K20a3 doesn't have true vtec anyway, but why do you not want vtec?

The classic problems that people have had with vtec kicking in while running boost can be overcome with the Hondata and a good tuner, all K-series engines have vtec and many people are running 500+ hp with no problem at all.
You cannot swap in an engine older than the chassis legally.

craigslist, but you need a lot more than just the swap.
When I did the math about 6 months ago, using very optimistic pricing, all the parts came out to $5k.

Re: k-swap in lx?
No, its not a dick move, its a type of move we must make to keep the site in check considering all your questions could be answered within a few minutes of searching. Most sites would have closed it after the first post.
I'll merge the two threads, but try to keep your questions a little less basic. I'm not saying that to be an ***, I'm saying that because people are going to be an asses to you if you ask these types of questions.

Re: k-swap in lx?
You can, but you will not get a license on the car to drive if you do... Emissions are one of the reasons. a newer chasis is under more restricted emissions, for example, but that have all been covered before on other threads.

Re: 7TH Gen B-swap any help?
That write up is basically the holy grail for anyone considering k-swapping an EM2.
There aren't many people here who have k-swapped, because most of us are in university and the expense is prohibitive, but many of us are very knowledgeable about the process and engines themselves. I'm looking into doing it, possibly sooner than later if this weekend goes well hint hint, at some point.
There are a lot of other things you'll want to build up in your car to get it capable of putting serious power to the ground and this is the most comprehensive resource on the net about doing that on a 7g civic.
