hahaha!
swap in a k series or turbo (but do a good setup).
You need to read more.
look for at least 5k or more for a good setup.
your short cut could get a short engine life.

Re: in your opinion (d17a2)

I think you need a thourgly read in the other forum, forced induction.
https://www.civicforums.com/forums/1...rced-induction
Doing it right at the first time or your going to loose the engine.
Read around here and you should find what you need but it is not going to be as easy as bolt-on's.
you might also look around the 7th gen forced induction and swaps - the swap for a k-series, be it K20, 22, 24, might be a better option finbancial-wise.
https://www.civicforums.com/forums/7...nduction-swaps
Look also for hasport web page.
There is no short-cuts, it will take money. I am still waiting for my D17A2 to go out so i can consider a swap. I have a spare miata to live with when time comes. But will thorow me to SM class in AX...https://www.civicforums.com/forums/7...duction-swapsr get a 6th gen.

02civicsi02 will become famous soon enough
Re: in your opinion (d17a2)

You will not make 175 whp off the d17a2 unless you boost. The d17a2 only has like 90 something to the wheels and dont really respond will to anything from what I have seen and read. So if you want to keep your stock motor then turbo. If you want an easy as hell root and still be perfectly realible then k20 or k24 swap. You can swap in the k20a2 and already be at your goal. The k20a2 has 200 hp to the crank and 178 to the wheels. You would reach your goal and you can be stock.

You can go round salvage yards looking for rsx type s that have only been hit in the rear and get the motor for cheaper than probably another seller. And you will need a couple things not just the motor. I think there is a thread on here some where for swapping in the k series in base 7th gen. You will need motor mounts, motor/tranni, rsx shifter assembly and linkage, axles, ecu, and not sure what else.
