which honda for FI

I've been lurking around in this section and was wondering which Honda model is the best base to FI on ? It should be newer than 2004 and their should be reliable kits out there that fit (almost) plug'n'play.

I'm originally from the BMW scene so dont know much about hondas, except from what ive read here, which mainly is quite old hondas...

If you want a honda thats newer then 2004 then you don't have too many choices.

If your talking about Inline-4 Cylinder Hondas then you basically have one engine platform...the K-Series. which includes the following cars:

EP3 - Honda Civic SI Hatchback-K20A3 (160 HP)
FG/FJ - Honda Civic SI - K20Z3 (197 HP)
DC5 - Acura RSX - Base model (Same as EP3)
DC5 - Acura RSX - Type S - K20A2 or K20Z1 (About 200 HP)

However, Any one of these Engines can go into the other and there are other K-Series engines from other types of hondas (SUVs & Luxury Cars) that also swap in. They are completely interchangeable.

Other then that you could go with an EM2 which has a single-cam D17. You can boost those and get good numbers but numbers won't be as good as a K-Series without good money put into it. And you could always put a K-Series into an EM2 with enough money and then boost that.

There is also cars like the Honda Fit - not a good engine to start with but you can always swap a K-Series.

With Hondas, you're options are limitless. You should pick a chassis you actually like, and build on that. What good is a fast car if you don't like it?
