Toasted cylinder 1 plug w/ 50 shot!
So I finally got my nitrous in and I went through a whole 10 lb. bottle in one day and loved it! The next day I checked my plugs and they were a little brown, but nothing wierd or burnt. Then tonight I took my brother for a 50 shot and I toasted my number 1 cylinder plug! Ground strap was fried up into a ball! I dont get it? Im only running a 50 shot! And im using a wet kit with a purge. I had ngk coppers in there and they were brand new from my head gasket that I swapped out a month ago. And what is wierd is only my #1 cylinder plug was destroyed! Am I running lean in that cylinder? Should I be running colder plugs with just a 50 shot? Am I delivering too much nitrous to that one cylinder? If so how do I fix that with a single fogger nozzle? I really dont want to detonate my engine with only one bottle of nitrous under its belt! Again it's wierd because on Saturday when I ran through a bottle, it handled it like a champ! Could I have gotten a faulty plug that the nitrous just helped along? I dont know but if anyone has got any ideas, then hit me up!

You should run at least one step colder plug when running nitrous also check your injectors # 1 might have clogged up. I would get a jewelry cleaner and a can of seafoam and drop the injectors in and let it run for about an hour.

I use to run a 80 shot and never had an issue. there are a number of things that could be going wrong here, but yeah, a colder plugg is what you need. Also use higher octane

there are 3 things IMO you really need to be doing to be safe. 1 is run 91 or higher octane when spraying. no exceptions. 2 is never spray under 4000 rpm's and 3 run colder plugs i recommend ZEX spark plugs they arnt too expensive and have 4 big fat ground straps that wont get overheated under
N2o conditions. Count yourself lucky. when the strap get overheated it can cause a nitrous backfire and blow up your intake manifold and intake.

Well fixed the prob...Not cold enough plugs. Went down and got some 7 heat ngk's from the performance shop. Runs like a champ now! The intake temp sensor cel goes off once in awhile, but it shuts off after forty engine cycles, so it's all good.Yeah I run 91 octane mostly, every once in awhile i'll run 100 race fuel but it's frickin 8.00 bucks a gallon out here! And yeah 02civicg5 I know going through a whole bottle is kinda drastic, but it's frickin addicting as hell! I've calmed down now that im on my second bottle, even though I wanna hit it at every light!!! And yes djmota I do count myself lucky, cause I honestly thought I popped a cylinder!!! sl33pyriceboi love the saying, and it's true for the most part, but that girl is one fine bitch!!! And I love some good strange!!j/k lol! I'm gonna take my brother in law for a ride and ill vid it and post it for all to see soon!!! Thanks everyone for the advise!!! Honda on!
