DC5 Intermediate shaft?

Perhaps it is my mechanical ineptitude....

But what is the "intermediate shaft"? And if you purchase a complete changeover from Hmotors Online, is it included?

its #18 and its included in the changeover. they list it as the halfshaft

yeah, most people are gonna call the whole passenger side assembly a halfshaft.
