What happen
It's to quiet here lately.
What happen to all the original boosted members ?
It was 2001 when I became a member, back when the site was called 2k1civic.com
man I'm feeling old, what I'm talking about I'm old
It was 2003 when I build my engine and 2004 when I boosted.
Even before the pistons came out on the market I had them.
Aside all critizism my engine has being running strong ever since, no repairs no overheating, no broken gaskets (only once then I found the studs block guard and it was done), no broken intakes, no change of turbo.
Hell I was beating on the car at the track before I sold it. 5 passes back to
back running nitrous, after that I drove to McDonalds for a snack.
and look good while doin it
What happen to xturbo?
drew?
In 2008 I sold my vic for about 30k (traded for a Mercedes S500 and 10k)
Sold the S500 for 23k and bought a MS3 cash. and I'm already working on it.
My new goal 500whp
Although I miss my car every day.
Still, I wonder what happen to all dose projects that supposed to come and spank me when done?
I'll have to go on the books as the most succssesfull 7thgen ever build.
How can you argue with this

All custom made stuff hardly any off the shelf stuff.
hate all you want my record speaks for it'self
man it feels good to blow my self off
let it rip

Somebody talked him out of selling it and he's going all out with the vic, but I can't let the rabbit out of the hat I'll let Drew confirm his plans.

Re: What happen
I think its a cool car.
This thread has been cleaned up...
Supermex has been here from day one and raised the bar for the 7th gen. He doesnt deserve the newer members on this site giving him **** for anything. Spray or no spray... the bar was set. Is there a best car? ...no. Everyone has their own taste and their own style. If that style isnt yours, then its whatevers- let them do their own thing. If everyone did the same **** we'd all have ssm vic's with black interiors- lowered, rims, exhaust, tint, subs, turbo.... but we're not. We're all different. Theres no need to be an ******* to anyone on this site. If you dont like what they post, move on to the next one.
And andy, yes... you have crazy power. Supermex does too.
...reopening for now, keep it civil.

Re: What happen
Oh boy, there is some activity now
Is like old times.
So, I never said it was the best civic
I said and I quote:
I'll have to go on the books as the most succssesfull 7thgen ever build.
Why?
Made 3 magazines( in america, europe and mexico) won HIN's, Nopi and other countless shows.
Had lot's of sponsorhips
pork a few hot models in it,
was on TV
the engine is almost unbreakable, is not being rebuild, open again, fixing it, or anything, it was done right the first time, and made lot's of power.
Helped develop many of the parts you are buying today sonme still a prototype.
AND at the end of it all sold it for 30K, a joke or stupid or not, it happen!
I would of NEVER sold it for less than that, there is nothing wrong with it.
I call that very succsesfull
Is actualy a great deal for our cars not as much for my self personaly, but my civic left an impression on a lot of ppl all over the world, not only in this forum.
It had a mutimedia effect.
(The 7th gen not even on production any more)
It's just a fact.
So I went and bought a new Mazda speed 3 with my money , cash up front and I'm working on it now, new goal 500 whp (is reachable)
I'm already sponsor by Mazda racing and my old sponsors are coming right along, you'll see it in a magazine in a year or two may be less.
Thanks for the good comments and the clean up, I even more thankfull for the hate is shows you care
Also, please noticed I'm not here cursing or getting all worked out, just stating the facts, I keep it clean and CIVIL.
I love you guys and I'll miss you all even the haters
Had many good times and good experiences, and the best part I meet good ppl and had a lots of fun.
But is time to move on with the new.
Stop beating the dead horse (AndY)
Put it this way, everywhere I go, anyone making fun or dising the vics, all I got to do is show my 7thgen project and all the accomplishments and is: WOW I didn't know a 1.7 colud do all that!
That's all.
end of rant

Re: What happen
it's neat that old school members just can't stay away from the once-best bastard-child-of-civics site in ze world. 30k for a civic is pretty damn impressive, on top of the fact that your car was secks, aside from the diarrhea-orange color
. perhaps, someday, i too will be flaunting my vic (though it will be superior as it is a sedan) and laughing down upon all of you as well from atop my mountain made from the skulls of those that said "you're gay". perhaps.

Re: What happen
I'm not OG on the site but I've always liked the car simply from the attention to detail put in to the build. I learned a lot from your FAQs and progress, Hector - it all helped me in my build. Let's face it. Anything over 200whp in a Honda Civic is pretty ****ing fast Honda Civic. While you did things differently than I would have and did, that's neither here nor there.
I can't forsee driving the Civic on a daily, basis forever. Pretty soon, she'll get gutted to become a track ***** and I'll move on to a more comfortable (relatively speaking) daily driver. But I'm still having fun in my Civic everyday.

Re: What happen
I donno why my last post in here got deleted, It wasn't bad mouthing or anything.
^I said the same thing in my last post, "And all this time I thought modesty was a virtue."
Hm. If I had a fast civic, I would let the dyno sheets do the talking.

Re: What happen
I was running at 21 psi but I had to drive it with caution it was getting lose after 4k rpms.
I drove the car to Atlanta and back for NOPI and it ran just fine all the way, 4th and 5th gear was lot's of fun, I kept up with the big boys driving corvetts and cobras,
We tuned it down to run 18psi when I sold it as a precaution until the new owner gets used to it.
