clocking a t25?

Hey guys Im using a t25 turbo and I during a mock up installation I found out that i need to clock the turbo so the inlet is facing the passenger side of the engine bay. I searched and found boiler's thread on the replacement actuators...but are they really necessary to clock a t25? Also are any of you guys running your downpipes through the drivers side of the engine bay? One more thing, I have two different t25s, one is a generic brand but the other is a garrett tb25. anyone know what the 'b' is for and possibly what car it was used on?

Re: clocking a t25?

the only thing i can think of that the B implies is ball bearing. by the driver side do you mean on the opposite side of the oil pan (away from where the stock downpipe goes under the oil pan?) mine follows the exact same way the stocker runs. if you are gonna run your downpipe through the driver side it might cost a bit more to get a downpipe (if you dont have one already) because when you get to extreme angles in bending shops tend to charge more because its harder to make it.

the downpipe I have is made to exit through the drivers side of the engine bay. I have even thought about cutting the flanged top of the dp off and rewelding it on in the opposited direction...but then i would have to figure out how to clock the turbo so the inlet would be on the drivers side. I am just trying to not run into a lot problems when I start cutting my i/c piping. would any of you guys have pics of your downpipes?

Re: clocking a t25?

the exhaust side is stationary, it bolt to the manifold so its forced to be in a certain position! Bolt manifold to head, bolt turbo to manifold then break bolts free on center section and remove wastegate. Then rotate intake side of turbo to desired position. And figure out whats needed for wastegate to attach to compressor. Also check this out it has lots of pictures that may help you....

Re: clocking a t25?

okay i will try that method. my car is an lx so no abs. the turbo i have has its wastegate flange bolted on so i think i can just loosen those and relocate them with no problems on sunday. I will post pics so you can see if i did everything right. BTW i have a buddy who is turboing a 94 gt mustang and my build is no where as complicated as his is. tnfaas u wouldnt have pics of your fabbed i/c piping before u installed it would u?
