Like I said before... I've driven this way for entirely too long... and it still seems fine. Disconnecting is a serious pain in the *** considering I don't have any of the original stuff usable. The air here is so salty and bad, my stock exhaust mani is already a block of rust inside and out.

Wow, this is the most sound advice in this entire three pages of ramblings and nobody gave it a second glance...

Took the words right out of my mouth.

Yeah, you're right. That's why I don't get a full pm box everytime I come on here because smart people like you have nothing to contribute other than hating and running your mouth...

Wow... I guess I got thread-jacked. But andyman97 - I know it's sound advice. I just don't have the time/ability to take all that stuff off. I used to work at a dealership and borrowed tools/books/people to come and help me put this thing together. I now have no ability to do that anymore.

Re: What to do...?

Why don't you get your car tuned and run what your fuel set up can handle? You will have a decent amount of power. Then save up, buy the parts you need, and retune.

You dont need to disassemble anything, you need to take out wastegate spring and you'll be good.

On the other note, I dont understand why you worry so much. I'm thinking you need to reassess your situation again.

Please do this and clearly explain here the problems (in detail) of why you need an upgrade and what you dont like with your current set up.

I know it may be time consuming, but as the saying goes - "Good preparation is half the battle".

I hear you man, but trust me, you'll save yourself lots of money, time, and headache in the end. I know it sucks going from turbo to n/a but it really is better to do it right the first time.

Re: What to do...?

Well... my concern is mainly I don't have the ability to throw all my money at my car. I can barely put gas in it, and at 23 years old, that's not really good. So... my concern is that my job has racked up 13,000 miles since I started in May... all on a poorly assembled/tuned turbo car.

So if I don't worry like this and something slips by me, I can no longer get to work to make money, etc.

Re: What to do...?

That's exactly why you should put it back to stock until you can afford to have what you need and make repairs as needed. The tools are not that big a deal. A basic tool set of ratchets and wrenches with jackstands is all you should need to get the turbo off, what's the big issue? If you want to play fast and loose, go for it, but at least admit that's what you're doing because you don't want to take the turbo off, not because you can't.

Re: What to do...?

Either go back stock or else throw the stocker injectors in and take out the wastegate spring so you don't build boost. Drive it like that until u can afford to fix it. You gotta know going into this that it takes money and **** goes wrong.
