Re: What to do...?
i dont understand why you just run no boost until you get more money? thats what i had to do over the summer, i ran practically stock until i could buy all the **** i needed for my rebuild. all i had to remove was the emangle, drop in the stock injectors and pull the turbo/mani and some charge pipes to put the stock exhaust back on. I didnt even run a cat (i dont own one). It wasnt fast but it got me where i needed to go without putting my car in danger. plus i had a full blown interfooler :P
oh, and ive been running a wideband since day 1. im even on my second sensor
but it provides vital engine info, id get that before anything else.

Re: What to do...?
You know... I've now driven this car with the screwed up 9psi map turned down to 5psi at least 60 miles a day at around 60mph 5 days a week for 3 months or so. I have put about 5,000 miles on it since discovering this tuning issue. Other than a serious misfire problem at idle, no issues that I know of... wonder what it's doing to my $1,400 worth of internals.
Re: What to do...?
there is a guy in Linden, NJ by the name of Sean Ivey. ask around, he is the best tuner in NJ...And i told my buddy about what u said and goign to turbotrix, and he said **** that place..lol
i think ur best bet is to hook up with chris down at bitches and tities performance.

Wow... I guess I got thread-jacked. But andyman97 - I know it's sound advice. I just don't have the time/ability to take all that stuff off. I used to work at a dealership and borrowed tools/books/people to come and help me put this thing together. I now have no ability to do that anymore.

On the other note, I dont understand why you worry so much. I'm thinking you need to reassess your situation again.
Please do this and clearly explain here the problems (in detail) of why you need an upgrade and what you dont like with your current set up.
I know it may be time consuming, but as the saying goes - "Good preparation is half the battle".

Re: What to do...?
Well... my concern is mainly I don't have the ability to throw all my money at my car. I can barely put gas in it, and at 23 years old, that's not really good. So... my concern is that my job has racked up 13,000 miles since I started in May... all on a poorly assembled/tuned turbo car.
So if I don't worry like this and something slips by me, I can no longer get to work to make money, etc.

Re: What to do...?
That's exactly why you should put it back to stock until you can afford to have what you need and make repairs as needed. The tools are not that big a deal. A basic tool set of ratchets and wrenches with jackstands is all you should need to get the turbo off, what's the big issue? If you want to play fast and loose, go for it, but at least admit that's what you're doing because you don't want to take the turbo off, not because you can't.

Re: What to do...?
Either go back stock or else throw the stocker injectors in and take out the wastegate spring so you don't build boost. Drive it like that until u can afford to fix it. You gotta know going into this that it takes money and **** goes wrong.
