New to boost. Plan, Comments/Questions?
Hey everyone, been a long time since ive been here. Not since the 7thgencivic.com days.
Anyway, I am looking to boost my 01 LX.
This all arose when I saw a TSI Manifold/RSX injectors/T25 Turbo forsale.
The guy is asking $400 canadian for them, I am hopefully picking them up next week.
There is also an Emanage system for sale for $300 which i was thinking of picking up as well..( Question below)
Currently the T25 is internally wastegated for 14ish PSI, which is way to high for a T25 as well as my goals. I will be looking to boost 8-9 PSI.
Ive already talked to boiler about this, and as much as I appreciate his input, I would just like a few more people to throw their input in as well.
Would E-manage work reasonably well as a fuel management system? 300 is very cheap for emanage, and I would like to budget this build as much as possible.
What is all needed with Emanage to get it to work? Pressure sensor , Injector harness, main harness, anything else?
Thanks in advance

read the turbo project disasters thread. if you have alot of time, money, and a backup car, id say go for it.
Re: New to boost. Plan, Comments/Questions?
budget turbo builds never work out. please save and do it right the first time. emanage takes a good tune to work fuel delivery properly.. im pretty sure it works good with rsx injectors. good luck. if u dont have enough money to throw ur car off of a cliff and not worry abotu it, then u dont have enough money to boost.

I have the TSI manifold with the TSI fuel system only I'm running the AEM F/IC instead of Emanage. You can do a budget build, but make sure you do everything right the first time. Quality parts, and quality installation are the key. Even if you do all that right things can go badly. The T25 with give you quick spool times, but lack top end power, but if you wanna go from 0-60 in a hurry it'll do it.

All i want is 0-60ish, no need going faster than that, unless its on a track.
I will do it right, Ive built an N/A b18a before and i cheaped out and paid for it.
But as everyone, i would like to spend the least possible to make it happen. I know a tune can make or break an engine, therefore i want to make sure emanage can handle everything properly

Budget builds are absolutely possible as long as they're consistent with the end goal, you take your time sourcing quality used parts, and you do most of the fabrication and welding yourself since we don't have an excess of aftermarket support.
E-Manage will be fine on RSX-S injectors, which in turn should also flow enough fuel for your T25. I'm assuming you know everything that goes into a turbo build, so it will just be a matter of collecting the parts as inexpensively as possible.
I would really recommend making a wideband sensor and display one of your "must-have" items, especially with the e-manage. It will make tuning a bit easier and allow you monitor the health of your car a lot better.
Other than that, you're on the right track for a budget build. I've got a long list of parts and a huge personal experience thread linked in my sig of when I went through this the first time I turbo'd my Civic, and I'm still not done yet.

well, i dont have the t25, but i do have a t3 turbo with the RSX-S injectors and the EMANAGE ultimate and my car runs almost perfect with the setup. so if your looking for just 8-9 psi, i would say go ahead and get that setup.

Yeah, that sandwich adapter (and the much cheaper, more useful version on Ebay), is only for the oil feed , pressure and temp sensors. You still need a way to get oil back into the pan from the turbo though. Gotta tap the pan.
