D17 Injector options
Ok. I have been overwhelmed with several requests to explain what injectors work on the stock D17 FR and what mods are needed to make them fit. Ok here it is.
1) RSX & RSX Type-S
**needs spacers on the rail
**plugs into the stock injector clips
**flows 310cc @ 43 PSI
**$500+ brand new from Honda
**$100 used from forums
2) SRT-4
**needs spacers on rail
**need SRT-4 injector clips (We can source these too for you)
**flows 570cc @ 43 PSI (if I recall)
**?? new from Dodge
**$100 used from forums
**E-manage will struggle to control these; PCS, AEM or Hondata will work ok
3) White 400cc
**needs spacers on the rail
**need injector clips (we will supply theml; same are RC clips)
**flows 400cc @ 43 PSI
**$300 new
**E-manage will struggle to control these; PCS, AEM or Hondata will work ok
4) Precision Domestic Style Injectors
**needs spacers on the rail
**need injector clips (we will supply theml; same are RC clips)
**E-manage will struggle to control these; PCS, AEM or Hondata will work ok
All for now.

Re: D17 Injector options
WRX injectors also are rumored to work if you have the clips
Precision "Domestic" Injectors drop right in, but you need the clips.

Re: D17 Injector options
Precisions, yes, confirmed.
I never bothered to try the subaru injectors, bought new ones instead.
In all honesty, if you can find a high impedance injector, its also likely you can find an o-ring to fit snugly in the rail... so the potential options are going to be limitless.

Re: D17 Injector options
im not running them but the RDX injectors will fit just like thr RSX-S injectors....only thing is you need to trim down the connector on the injector itself and find a way to secure your stock clips to them. i talked to a guy on clubRSX about them. my SRT-4 570cc injectors should be here tommorow...but ill install likely this weekend and see what i can do. im gonna see about lying to Emanage about them.....i dont think itll work but im gonna try...

Re: D17 Injector options
I figured I could contribute even tho the thread is pretty dead. I just got some 650cc SRT-4 injectors from:
http://www.deatschwerks.com/catalog/...roducts_id=117
They have up to 750cc srt ones that will drop right in without any problems except changing the clips out.

OOh really wow I diddn't know that. Otherwise I would have bought them from you...
You may want to talk to them about getting some k20 injectors for sale on your site. I sent them a set to modify and they got them up to 550cc’s which is pretty good for direct fitment. The only reason I didn’t go with those is because I need bigger.

Re: D17 Injector options
About the E-Manage controlling the 577cc SRT's... You say that it has some trouble? I don't plan on maxing the injectors... maybe only running 10psi. Will this be a problem? I mean... how does it struggle to control them? Is it simply that the E-Manage can't handle that high of a flow?

Re: D17 Injector options
They are referring to the idle. You'll be running so rich at idle and when you try to pull the fuel out you''ll most likely throw a code since it will be outside the range for the ecu to adjust. You can probably get it to work but you'll have to play around with the correction factor in the emanage to smooth it out as much as possible.

Re: D17 Injector options
To my knowledge there has not been any issues with AEM F/IC to control larger injectors. It pulls fuel a bit differently then emanage. O2 skew is a great feature to have for tuning with a piggyback.

Re: D17 Injector options
Ya David at DeatschWerks was the one who helped me with the RSX injectors. I was supprised how quick they figured out the max for the RSX injectors. It only took about a week. If anyone needs a set of RSX 550cc injectors im sure they still have my set on the shelf give them a call.

Re: D17 Injector options
So... after all my pain and suffering and close to $7,000... I could get this fuel system done, get it tuned... and STILL have a CEL?! I hate this! Is there a smaller injector that doesn't cost a million dollars that won't have that problem? All I want is a car that runs at this point... I don't care if it only makes 100whp. I only plan on running 10psi on a fully built engine - and I'd run less if I had to... but you're saying this problem is at idle...

Re: D17 Injector options
Sorry for venting... it's just that I, like alot of people I'm sure, did a closet build without looking into some of the repercussions. It would've been fine - but now I'm driving almost 70 highway miles a day with my car... which is a torture test for any aftermarket build... especially a ghetto one.
How much are 450cc injectors? Anyone know if these would cause the barometric CEL?
I have half a mind to just get the fuel pump and re- dyno tune it for like 6 or 7psi and just waste potential for the sake of necessity.

Re: D17 Injector options
Honestly... Sell your emanage and put the extra 1k into it and get a kpro. All of your problems will be solved and your car will run like a stock car with power. Im super happy with mine just because of that.
