emanage setting???
i have the greddy ultimtate. i saw that the feature doesnt have the d17 engine option under the vehicle setting. so i was windering what everyone else puts theirs under. im running rsx-s injectors, so i was just going to put it under the k20a setting and then change the engine size from 2.0 to 1.7. is that what everyone else did? thanks in advance

Re: emanage setting???
ehhh I wouldnt put it under any setting for an iVTEC motor... learned that one from Kpro.
Not too familiar with EmU is this the rotary dial things like the blue one has? or something internal to the computer settings.

Re: emanage setting???
its an internal setting. you have to pick your engine first then after that the emu sets up most of it. but the d17 not an option. maybe the b20 would be a better choice.
Re: emanage setting???
Well I know that on the blue you must wire the emanage side according to your motor. They list maf, karman vortex, vtec and map sensor. How is yours wired on the emanage side (meaning what color wires do you in what pin) This may be different from the ultimate. But the I think the problem that you are experiencing in the problem you described to me in the pm is due to this. It sounds like the map is super rich at idle and causing the car to die out. A possible reason you cant get it started is b/c it may be flooded. Check your plugs and see if they are wet, if not what color.

Re: emanage setting???
i checked the plugs they werent flooded. they were completely dried. just a lil black from the sparking, also i tried spraying some starting fluid in the throttle body and it still didnt start, so i figured maybe i was pulling to much fuel so i hooked up my second fuel pumped and added a lil bit of fuel and still nothing. so im getting plenty of fuel. and its still getting air and spark so im guessing its just a parameter setting thats off.

Re: emanage setting???
thats the problem im not sure i accidentially save over the previous setting. also when i thought the vehicle setting was k20a but after the engined died i started looking over it and it was set at b20. so again i dont know if it was set at the b20 settings or if i changed all the parameter settings
Re: emanage setting???
The only reason I've ever seen this happen on the PFC is if the car reads a MAFS voltage that is below any of the values in the airflow curve. It interprets it as zero airflow and therefore zero fuel. Very hot conditions would cause less dense air and therefore lower MAFS voltage at idle.
I know a grand total of zero about the E-manage. In order for any ECU to calculate fueling, it needs to compare sensor values against a calibration curve or table. If any of your sensor values go outside the defined range, you could have unexpected results. On the PFC, there is a calibration curve for MAFS voltages. If the MAFS voltage drops much below 1v, you start running into problems depending on your curve. You might be suffering from a similar problem. Take a log when this is happening and look at all your values when the car dies out. See if any of those look funky.
