LOL, nice quote Travis.
Yeah, that's the consensus I'm getting everywhere else as well. Sounds like a project for tomorrow then. I've got to do the brakes, drive belts, and some electrical work on a buddy's car after work, so I should have time after that.

Jet-hot, etc.... it. Dont wrap it, it holds moisture and can cause the welds to start cracking. You'll also have a bitch of a time trying to wrap a log. if you're worried about heat, ceramic coat everything.

I think the temp of the manifold will be way too hot to retain any moisture.
Also, I saw a tin-type wrap Gery was using on his turbine housing, I've been meaning to pick some up and wrap my turbine housing with it.

Yeah, I've seen the turbo blankets as well, and I'm not really diggin' them. The tin wrap might be a little less - hell, I don't know. I just don't like the blankets.
I'm with Andy on this one about moisture retention. But, yeah I did some mock-ups last night with a tape measure and wrapping that log is going to be a pain. I'm stubborn and will do it tonight anyway though. I'm going to wait until the turbo install to paint them though. Momma would be pissed if I cooked those stinky parts in the oven to cure them!

I wrapped it then painted it.
In retrospect, I probably should have painted it, wrapped it, then painted it again. But I'm not going try and wrap that log mani again. It was a pain in the ***.
