Went to get my car tuned yesterday. Was running so sick until during the street tuning process, the wastegaste decided to **** out on me. The tuner welded it back together, but it never worked the same again. Now ill get like 1.5-2psi at like 6000rpms lol


So I assume I need a new wastegate, and I have the one that comes with the SF kit, so what exactly am I looking to replace and where can I get it?

I think you have t3 turbo with internal wastegate.

Is it the actuator or the flapper that broke?

www.atpturbo.com or www.dejonpowerhouse.com they sell turbos and replacement parts. If they dont have something on the website, just email them your question.

You might look at the other sites that sell replacement parts or rebuild kits for turbos. They may have something for you.

You can also buy a new turbo I guess.

its the piece you turn to adjust your wastegate that broke off. not the flapper than opens it

k c on the pic that silver pieace on the other threaded piece that can be screwed on. that broke off. except mine looks diff. in the pic, one side is screwed on, the other side has the hole to connect to the flapper. mine, the side with the hole has threads behind it aswell, so both sides are "screwed" in to a third middle pieces, that connects to two. thats the piece than broke

i guess ill use this thread to ask another question aswell.

what SHOULD the Turbo XS BOV sound like on our cars? all videos ive seen of it has been a loud PSHHH but on my car, i get a TSH TSH TSHHH. im wondering if what im hearing is compressor surge or bov? i asked the guy that tuned my car, and he said that my bov sounds like a compressor surge, so its hard to tell. but ill cut him that slack of not being able to tell because hed been tuning cars from the time he opened his shop (10am) to the time he finished my car (4am)

It is wastegate actuator.
search ebay for "wategate" and manualy pick out tht you need.
Also, look the websites that I've mentioned already.
You'll find what you need.

the sf wg sucks *****, has a lot of boost spikes and also took a crap on me, Even if you could buy one i would beg you to not. good luck.

^^^ Yeah maybe, After mine took a dump i found a used sf one that i put, i ran 12 psi on it and then my car took a dump, it is unknown whether the wg caused this, tuning or just to much boost. Someone correct me if i am wrong but internal wg have a lot of spikes on low boost is this correct? You should be fine with that wg but just search around threads with people who had problems with them so dont be surprised if it does take a dump one day. What boost controller you have?

See if they have a garret wastegate actuator that will fit. Better quality imo

^^^ Garrett is best bang for the buck type of product, I love their products, the turbo itself is a garrett i dont know why the wg sucked so much dick!
