No, the secondary o2 does not plug into the main harness. There's only one clip that will fit that sensor though. Did you do a headswap or a motor swap from an a1 to an a2?

^^^Hey Andyman, thats exactly what i did, i swapped in a d17a2 engine. Thats the only missing part and the car would be running perfect.

So if it doesnt plug into the wiring harness....where does it go?

To clarify, I have both o2 sensors...but i dont have a clue where the o2 sensor that goes into the catalytic converter....Hellpppppp

Re: 2ndary O2 sensor help!!

the two o2 sensors both go in the catalytic converter pipe, one is close to the top of the pipe(below the header) and the other is closer to the bottom, somewhere in the heat shield

Re: 2ndary O2 sensor help!!

Not what he's asking.

Ok, here's a quick what's up....

d17a1 engine=both o2 sensors have wiring clips on the main harness

d17a2 engine=only primary o2 sensor has wiring clip on the main harness

So, did you swap in the a2 harness or keep the a1 harness?

Either way, you will need to relocate the wires for the secondary sensor if you are using an a2 ecu.

Check the link in my sig. They give you the pinouts except for connector A. I just tore my a1 harness apart and ran the four wires separately for the sensor.

Re: 2ndary O2 sensor help!!

You just wanna make sure to put the wires in the right spot if you re-pin any part of that harness. It gets expensive if you put things in the wrong spot, hehe. Its easier to screw up than most think. Theres a lot of wires in one tight *** spot.

Re: 2ndary O2 sensor help!!

Shouldn't blow up, just like Gery said, don't get the wires crossed or reversed.
