Tunning the car this weekend (that didnt happen)
So apparently some of you don't know i've been going mod crazy lately lol. So here is the deal:
Saturday April 7th my car will be at a shop down in H-town getting some Brian Crower valve springs and retainers put on, *i would be doing this myself, however i don't have the time or correct tools to do it myself!* (the chambers must be pressurized and i don't have a valve spring tool) On top of the valve springs ill be pulling my type R exhaust cam, and replacing it with a type S cam. This should do away with some of my valve overlap issues. And allow me to rev to about 9k!
Then on top of that the K24 crank pulley will be added to bump me up about 2 psi, which should bring me to about 7 or 8psi total.
I talked to Carlos today from BDL and all the parts to help wrap up my TB issue should be mailed out today for sure *by him personally* Then my TB and 70mm SC inlet will be mounted up.
And that should be about it for a while *sept the one thing i dont have, which is a exhaust cut out valve* But when i tune on Monday *Jason at St00pid fast will be tunning on Monday(let me know if you want to come out)* and ill tune once open header once closed and with race fuel. So should be about 4 tunes. Hopefully ill hit about 320-350whp without blowing anything lol.
So wish me luck! Hopefully ill have numbers for you Tuesday the 10th!

So far no so good
.... as i was driving my alt, started to go to crap, if i went above 3500rpms my voltage dropped to 9v's, when it did that my gauges died but i still had power to the car? LOL i love how our cars systematically shuts down features not need to run the car lol.
Then i got of the freeway to a clunking noise... my inner barrings of my half shaft went bye bye. So now instead of just a valve spring install i have to get a half shaft, alternator and the install! WOO WOO!

THanks.. just got off the phone with Bob *at speedfetish* the cam / spring install is going nicely, the rest of the parts are coming in from o'rileys so it should be good to go. Ill just have to tune on a GSR axle vs my lvl 2 lol.

Like i said andy it comes with the territory lol.. but im going ot have to call jason cause i dont think ill be able to do it monday now.. I have to get a new alt.

Im stuck in houston i need one lol.. And a k20 alt is more than a d17's lol. Weve even called all the freaking scrap yards looking for one no lucky..

Yeah so one thing led to another and i didn't get the chance to tune or my alternator fixed. I'M just glad i finally made it home.. Took my 2 batters to make it here and im driving and un-tunned car! But the good news is the cam and cam springs are installed.... Now im seeing 3lbs of boost! LOL. but that will fix its self when i actually tune my car. You can tell that the valve angles need to be tunned. Im running rich as hell and was spraying ash and gas on the cars behind me! lol. I have valve overlap yes.. but thats cause im running 50degrees of advance on the cam angles, so i guess Tony will have to tune my car since hes closer than Jason. but First i fix my alternator (went to auto zone, alt wont be here till Thursday)
