Modded AEM V2 SRI to CAI for K20 swap
This past weekend, I modified the current AEM V2 SRI on my k20a2 from a short ram to a CAI. I methodically thought it through and cut some section out of the piping, rotated some of the bends, and reconnected it with extended vacuum hoses. My filter now sits below my battery and next to the washer bottle. The intake was heatsoaking very badly being located by the header, and the finish on it was in poor condition, so it validated me modifying it to improve it instead of buying a new RSX-S CAI. A little DIY fun that I thought I would share, so that maybe someone else in my position would have another option. I will be painting the intake wrinkle black in the near future to match my freshly painted valve cover.
Here are some pics of my intake modification and install:

AEM V2 SRI before & cut-out sections (red hatching)

Cut-out sections

Upper pipe-section connected to throttle body (birdseye view)

Connection of upper & lower pipe-sections (firewall view)

Lower pipe-section (grill view)

Filter & lower pipe-section (firewall view)

Installed and modified intake into a CAI

Thanks brotha.....if you can find a V2 SRI sitting around for cheap, its definately an option now to people. I thought it could be done as I was staring at my engine, and troubleshot it, and it ended up working.
