FPR - Is this how a fuel pressure regulator works?
First off, I've got an aeromotive FPR on my car with SLPs return fuel kit, and I can adjust the fuel pressure with the hex screw on the unit, no problem. I'm using this in conjunction with a turbo. What I find odd is, the fuel pressure doesn't seem to rise with the psi of boost, but instead rises when i use the gas.
I have it set so when my car is idle, it's at 45psi. when i start to accelerate, whether hard or soft, it jumps to about 53-55psi. this is without any boost (wastegate open). when i'm using my turbo, i'll accelerate and get to 5-6psi of boost, but here's where i'm confused. my fuel pressure only increases like 0.5psi per pound of boost. if i accelerate without boost, i'm at 55psi. if i accelerate up to 6psi, i'm at like 57psi. I was under the impression that the pressure regulator would increase the fuel pressure like 2-3psi per pound of boost. Am I mistaken, or does something not sound right? So it's that, and the immediate +10psi jump i get just by using the gas pedal, that make me think something's not right.

for all I know, everything's connected right. I have no problem adjusting the fuel pressure using the fitting on top of the FPR.
Just recently I fixed the problem of not being able to adjust it at all because I left the stock fuel pressure regulator in the pump! all my hoses seem to be connected right... i have to wonder if it's a problem with the FPU itself... anyone know where i can get a replacement for cheap?

Anyone else with an aeromotive fuel pressure regulator? I also want to know if it's common for it to jump like 8-10psi when going from idle to just giving it a little gas...
