Oil Temp Weld In Fitting

ok, so I got my morosso aluminium 1/8 NPT weld in bung. Well the threads start high & the back leaves no room for the probe part of the oil temp sender to actually submerse itself in the oil. The very end of it will be touch, the rest surrounded by the bung. What do you think my chances are of the temp readings being accurate, or do you think I need a new bung?
here's pics...

Did you use a wrench and turn it tight? NPT threads are conical, if thats tight, get a tap and run it deeper.

why dont you use one of those shammy things that you screw between your oil filter and the block. the shammy allows you to screw in the sensors into it and it reads the readings from there. it looks pretty neat, dont know if they work well though. once i get my oil temp and oil pressure gauge i think i will get the shammy and save me the hassle. any opinions on these? il get an ebay link.

looks legit to me.
