FI Injector Question
OK so its time to cobble together the fuel system for my soon (relatively speaking) boosted EM2. Here is what my plan is.
- D16Y8 mani swap with return fuel line, higher flowing rail, FPR, and guage
- Either the Walbro or BBK 255 lph fuel pump
I already have the Y8 mani and have my heart set on the swap. My question is:
Are our (D17) injectors high or low impedance?
There are so many different injector options out there, but I won't be able to decide until I know that minor, yet very important, detail. Thanks folks!

High impedance in our cars, rsx, new si etc ..... Get high impedance injectors to fit the d16 manifold and solder in new injector plugs. Much better seal than trying to use rsx or civic ones. Been there done that. Id recommend new injector o-rings too. 310s would probably piggyback just fine IDK how big you can go before you trip CELs. my 440s would trip cels with the emanage.

Excellent thanks for the advice (+1 for ju!). I wonder if 440s would still trip CELs if I run the AEM EMS. That's my plan anyway, although this whole setup is going to cost about $4K (without messing with the rotating assembly) so I've given myself 12 months to budget it out so my wife doesn't castrate me! Appreciate it.

No, the AEM will run up to 1600cc injectors I think, and the CEL is non-operable with the EMS. 440s are no problem, but you'll need a bigger pump.
Yeah, you lose the obd functions with a 1070 like mine, Im not sure about the 1030 ems, Id assume the same. Pretty much, you can make anything work with an ems if you have the knowledge to back up all the tools AEM puts in your hand. I love mine to death, tuners dream(or nightmare, haha)

To my knowledge, all of the AEM units eliminate the OBD2 functions unless you wire in something custom like I am doing for my IS300.
My old sticker is orange like the new MA ones this year, plus Im too lazy to get into that OBD stuff. hehe If only the sticker tickets werent surchargable now. I dont mind the fine but the damn insurance goes up too.
