Alright, i have a 03 EX 4Dr civic Manual trany. I have the whole Headers, intake, high-flow cat, and exhaust. i even have a chip i bought off of ebay that is supposed to add HP (whatever). I am new to the engine upgrades so i need to know for now other than a turbo What can be done to this 1.7 engine? Anything to add hp to this thing. You may even say go research, but if you think about it, me asking people who know this is research because i need to know where to begin and you guys would know. So plz tell me what can be done.

oh god. speed chip rofl. im sorry but your gonna get flamed for this. everyone will tell you the same thing. nitrous/turbo/swap. thats the only way to make decent amounts of power on our motors.

IMO without busting the engine open the best way to go faster [doesnt add HP] are transmission upgrades. clutch, flywheel, motor mount inserts, engine torque damper etc. none of these mods will give you more power, rather it will help the car put down more of its existing power to the pavement more efficiently. just my .02cent. good luck with your car.

youve pretty much done all u can! haha there isnt much to do besides swap or turbo thats gona give u better numbers...trust me ive searched. and just get rid of ur chip thingy unless its some kind of engine management than its just wasting ur gas. u can always do what boosted.es3 said or make ur car lighter if u wana go faster!

everyone will tell you to go do some searching, as i am, because this has been covered AT LEAST a hundred times if not more. there's nothing you can ask about this that hasn't already been asked. there's nothing anyone will say here that hasn't already been said. so quit being lazy and do your own research.
