u could of saved ur time and scrapped the tsi fuel system. sorry i didnt see this sooner or i would of told u that. a piggy back ecu with rsx injectors would of saved u some time.
i have the tsi kit and i have had issues but non like u r haveing. mine have been with the down pipe hitting the radiator support and other random ****, includeing the pipes comeing loose. the point is, whatever kit u go with u will enevidently run into problems, especially when u mod as much as u did at on time. dont get discouraged- when it does finnaly work it will be worth it.

Hondata just came out with the K-pro for the D17, i would deff go with that instead of the AEM EMS.
THE HEAD ASSY COMES OFF ON SUNDAY FOR INSPECTION . THE FUEL RETURN SET WILL BE HERE ON MONDAY MORNING.AND I HOPE THE FOLLOWING WEEKEND IT WILL BE IN AND READY TO TEST DRIVE AND TUNE ALITTLE WITH NO MISFIRE PROBLEMS. WILL KEEP EVERYONE POSTED. THANK YOU FOR ALL THE NICE REPS ,KEEP THEM COMING. LATER
well for people that have been following this thread , i have received my head from bloss machine in kirkville ny . the story is that this same head came from gude performance in florida. the problems with the head . as stated* the head was decked with a belt sander and worped 4 thousands.
* valve job was never done.
* there was a pin hole from the #3 camber to the speak plug hole
causing misfire problems and predetination(that was fun)
* two exhaust manifold threads were stripped .
* two rocker arm threads were stripped.
* all valve seals were leaking except for two ,they were installed with a socket and pownded in. causing oil in the exhaust manifold and out the muffler (nice touch).
i think that about does it ( pretty nice work )

gude sucks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
cost me 1600 dollars for a head pkgs ,head, springs, retainer, camshaft, and all the head work and a throttle body . and received garbage for the money.
had to have my machine shop fix it all. cost me a extra $300.00 to make it right .
any way on to better things. the head assy will go on tomorrow, with the
fuel return set up ,with fpr,and performance pump. and will be boosting again ny the end of the day.
again gude performance sucks!!!!
never call them and never purchase anything from them....

Damb man i would have just k-swapped it with a k24/k20 head and then turboed it. would have cost you just about the same only more tq and power... but oh well. Not hating. Good work.
So whats the total up to now just curious? i ended up putting about 18000 in everything including tuning on my motor. plus the parts i still havent installed lol.

HEAD ASSY INSTALLED,AND RUNS GOOD. ACCELERATES WELL ,NO MISFIRE PROBLEMS
. I DO GET A PINGING ON IN THE HIGHER RPMS AND BOOST LEVEL OF 7-8 PSI OF BOOST. RUNNING 93 OCTANE. ANY REC. FROM THE TURBO GUYS OUT THERE. IS IT TIMING OR FUEL OCTANE. MY VEHICLE I CAN NOT RETARD TIMING WITH WHAT I HAVE FROM TSI. ANY REC . IDLE AFR
14.4 -14.7 ,WOT 12.5 AND PINGING INTERM. GETTING FARTHER WITH THE SELF TUNE. HAVE THE FUEL RETURN LINE SET UP AND THE UPGRADED FUEL PUMP WILL HAVE INSTALLED SUNDAY. AFTER THAT , SAFE MONEY FOR THE AEM EMS AND RC INJECTORS AND GO TO BUFFALO FOR TUNING.

You def need to retard timing a bit in the upper rpms. Since you can't for now you'll have to compensate with some added fuel to run richer but I'm sure you already know that. I'm glad things are finally working out and coming together for you. In the end its all a learning process and many ppl including myself are greatful for your posts so we can learn with you even if its for good or for worse. Good luck with the numbers off the dyno tune when you're able to go. I'm sure you'll be mucher happier with the upgraded fuel setup.

ok the head assy installed as seen in picture, the fuel return system, fpr and pump installed , the vac manifold, and the wide band. i finally learned how to insert larger pictures ,sorry for everyone looking at my small pictures all this time . have a Q; on a turboed vehicle ,were should the fuel pressure be ? let me know were some of you boosted members are running for fuel pressure . im running 49 psi for fuel pressure. just installed it today.
these are my updates as of know.
im on the look out for a turbo timer. i have a immobilzer system should that matter for a turbo timer. my turbo timer on my tsi kit is not working. it leaves the accessories on but the car does not stay running . any one with the tsi kit please help me out on this one. never has worked after install. thanks for any input you guys may have .

Hondata will work!
Plus its a lot more user friendly than the AEM EMS.
granted your going to have to change your cam gear lol.

Re: Ck out the new turbo and mods
You can try PCS-XFC then. They don't have ignition control yet but its a great system and since you have the fuel pump kit you can bump up your fuel pressure to prevent detonation. Otherwise sounds like you're going the EMS route. I'm positive I've seen 04-05 civics with emanage blue/ultimate so I don't know what Greddy is telling you.
Re: Ck out the new turbo and mods
well bought e-manage blue with harness from a member hear and bought 440 injectors from also a member her. purchased a manual turbo controller from innovative tuning . will install soon and hopefully get tuned by innovative tuning in buffalo. thats the update as of know.
still having a problem with ck engine lights , one problem intake leak code.
and misfires . i know the misfires are from the timing issue with pushing 10 psi of boost. i found the vac hose pinch from the internal wastgate to the turbo housing . the hose was pinched against the block . so i rerouted the vac line from the internal wastgate to vac manifold with a manual boost controller.
the intake leak i think is from the tsi block but unsure. i have sprayed brake clean everywhere to find it and nothing changes. so when i install the e-manage and the injectors i will remove all the tsi **** and start over. and hopefully the intake leak will go away.
what would you do to track down a intake leak?
thank you for reading .

Well the injectors and the e-management are installed and tuned by innovative tuning in buffalo. all is running well at 10 lbs of boost.
no dyno yet. just installed the crower stage 2 cams. need another street tune . more updates ,lets see.. i relocated the battery to the trunk, installed a moroso catch can from dezod.had to replace the throw out bearing due to a rattle noise in the trans . fixed and still going . had to replace both crankshaft seals.due to oil leak.
Question: has any one had leaks from the crankshaft seals frt or rear ?
i replaced both and installed a catch can to relieve pressure. put the car on the lift today and both seals are seeping again.
has any one else had this problem with there boosted civic?
well after this next tune with the stage 2 camshaft i will get it dynoed .
just received my drag slicks yesterday . will run it at the track after the tune also. talk to you guys later.

Re: Ck out the new turbo and mods
yea I've replaced the front crank seal a few weeks ago pretty simple to do i had to do it twice because i replaced it with a felpro seal the first time and that thing pissed oil everywhere it wrinkled on the inner seal part than i replaced it with a Honda seal and haven't seen a drop of oil since if that helps any.
