So, i know that u cant trust the hondata maps that are included with the unit because they are just a base and is not 100% correct for every car. My question is simple but i just want to make shure that this will be ok for about a week until my appointment at the shop to get dino tuned comes.
turbo kit background: the kit i got was one a friend makes and sells on ebay with a 45 trim t3/t4 turbo and a FMIC ( 20X9X2.75" CORE )
the question: Can i use the K20a2-RSX-440cc-16hm-Greddy=7psi-kla as
a map untill tune???
the reasion i am asking is beacuse right now i am useing the
k20a2-rsx-310cc-todahdr wich is the map for toda header, intake, exhaust, and stock cams. The only diffrence is that i have a DC header but it works with no problem. Now, i have 310 injectors that run at 43lbs of flow. the 440s also flow the same. If i go into hondata and chage the fuel trim from 440-310 will the car still run the same? All of the other parameters are the same in both maps exept Vtec wich is setup to engauge at 3000rpm (upper and lower bounary) with the N/A map and 5800rpm upper and lower with the turbo map. The other small change is the Rev limit decreaces on the turbo map from 8600-8100rpms.
Please respond because i dont want to distroy my engine. If there is more i would need to do or if there is a better way to go about tuneing until my shop date let me know because the civic is my DD until my tallon is finished. Feel free to PM or IM me on AIM if u have any ideas THANKS SOO MUCH GANG!!

basically, he wants to know if he can use a base map tune for his turbo setup until he gets to the dyno.
My oppinion without even knowing the setup is not a good idea but you will do it if you want. Couldn't you just pull the WG spring so it doesn't make boost and drive it like that until then?

Yes, the wastegate trick works. If its open, then the exhaust bypasses the turbine (path of least resistance). You make no boost. But I wouldn't bury the gas pedal either.
Turn it on, make sure the car runs and limp it over to the tuner where it can be mapped.
