Rep Power: 215 I honestly don't know how much more my car is capable of. I know the turbo was just a little over 17 psi. I know it would've made more power with more boost but I can't say how much more for sure. If he really did make those numbers, props to him. I know it isn't easy to pull power out of these motors and anyone who can break 300 whp deserves props. Whether he did or not, I don't know, I'm really only in competition with myself. I've stated before that my ultimate goal is to pull 11's with 450 whp and whether someone makes 451 or 462, really doesn't matter to me, my goal is for me alone.
You go girl!
Andy, if u see me on aim or msn, message me. I got some new parts and i want to brag to you ^^.
I told you that you would be the first to know what i was doing.

Andy, huge contgratulations are in order man, I'm very excited for you. Its kinda cool getting a bunch of power out of a SOHC
Do you guys have gas stations with E85 out there? If so, you should switch! On all the cars I've tuned on both gasoline and e85, I've picked up between 4% to 8% power increase just from the fuel swap and tuning. Plus, it will support a TON more power than pump gas (its ~105 octane and it burns significantly cooler). Plus its usually much cheaper than 91-93 pump gasoline We're paying $2 a gallon at the pump for e85 right now.
At only 18psi, all you need is a fuel that will support more power and more boost and you'll easily be there. Remember, kelly's 1.6 SOHC made 441whp on 28psi and probably 100whp less on ~18psi. That extra 10psi will really wake it up Any idea what your injector duty cycle was at?

Rep Power: 327 I would love to run E85 if I could find some around here. I still have a good bit of fuel, I would say my injectors are maybe at 60% or so. I installed my return line and fpr on the setup. Yeah, I'm debating about picking up the gt30 but I may wait to see what else is in this one first.

Check out this site, it shows you if you have an e85 station anywhere in your area.

Rep Power: 258 Hindsight is 20/20.. I'm not trying to speak for Andy but I don't think he saw the need to do that during that time. Had he known he would have the possibility to boost 20psi and hit nearly 400 hp I think he might have done some things differently from the get go perhaps like sleeving the block. I remember when noone thought 300hp was possible he keeps raising his own bar. Him and Supermex can't forget him either.

Rep Power: 327 I won't ever make enough power with a d17 to need sleeves. That's why I didn't sleeve it. Even when I put on the gt30, the stock sleeves will hold up fine. It's a common myth that sleeves are needed at X amount of psi but only a myth. Its an unecessary 1k that I didn't feel needed to be spent.

NEED is a myth. Its more like risk than need. The higher you go in HP/TQ the more likely you are to having a serious failure. Its all a matter of how much risk your willing to take
