help on k20
I'm new to this honda stuff and i jus purchased a 01 honda civic ex. My friend was telling me he has a k20 with a tranny for 3 grand. Does anyone know how hard this would be to pull off and what do i need? thanks

If you can get that engine and tranny for 3 grand do it. Then try to source out stuff for hella cheap, and if it ends up seeming like it's costing to much to you, sell of the engine and tranny for 4k or more to some noob, and make 1k off the deal
3 grand for just the tranny and motor is garbage... you can find motors with harnesses and axles in that price if you look around... you won't find everything for 3 grand, but you can find more than just the motor and tranny. Also getting the a/c to work is a bitch.... 99.9 percent of ppl who do the swap don't have a/c... sometimes no powersteering either.

I have an 01 civic EX with a k20a2, A/C with some slight bending of OEM honda lines from the EM2 and the EP3, and P/S from the RSX-S. Its not all that hard if you use your head and do some research.
k20 EM2s are fun and worth it if u source the right parts and have the know-how. The great thing about Honda, is that if you look hard enough, research, try things, there is USUALLY a part out there from another model that fits what you are trying to do
