Ya, no reason to fill those holes. They are probably there because of something during the manufacturing process (possibly to set up the pieces on a jig while they get welded together), but I doubt you will gain anything by spending the time to fill those, unless of course you've got OCD and it helps you sleep better at night...

welding them or not welding them will not make any difference. You can go ahead and weld if you want to, but what are you trying to acheive though if you dont mind me asking? They are there so its easy to handle them during the manufacturing process.

The only reason I would want them closed is because sand gets in them because of where I live...Which sucks when I'm working under the engine and I accidentally hit the subframe and get a facefull of sand.
I just want the subframe to look cleaner at car shows and there is a lot fo housing being built by me and theres dirt all over so i dont want a face full of dirt when i work on them
