D17 Engine blocks?
ok - so my "plan" is to buy a turbo system for my car. the Dezod stage1(i think?) kit. install it on my car (EM2 - automatic) and while ive got a lil turbo system going on that I'm going to start to build-up a different engine block, with being "turbo-prepaired".
Basically my question is - other than a junkyard, is there somewhere i can buy a D17 block? The whole engine or not. cause im going the EX, sohc Vtec conversion route. That way i can get cams, cam gears, etc. for it.
thanks for any help in advance

Majestic Honda sells bare blocks brand new. Its 400 for the block, 100 or so to ship it, but all it comes with is the oil pickup and crank girdle.
They sell the whole bottom end assembly for about 750, but they won't ship it. I already tried.

autos are beginning to take over the world of boost. They are faster and more consistant, they never miss shifts and don't loose boost between shifts, now for the 7thgen i am not saying auto is better but he could make his auto be strong, there is a kit people run to make the components stronger, don't know much but have seen it. Torque converter is good and a tranny cooler, that should get him a bad *** boosted auto, if he wanted to keep the auto. let me know if you ever need help i am only a pm or instant message away!

yeah, ive heard about those over-haul kits, with the clutch packs and gaskets and what-not. but i wasnt too sure how they hold-up with boost.
Maybe I'll give that a try first.
