im thinking about swapping my engine form the base d17 no vetec to a k20a3, now i ahve a few ppl helping and understand how to to the swap but im wondering what si involved in the ecu part of it in regards to the now vtec, i heard i ahve to run 3 more wires or something, i wanna go into this with some understanding, sum1 help out, and dont call me stupid this si my first swap im doing.

Rep Power: 307 im not sure what youre asking? if youre gonna do a k20a3 swap, you need the k20a3 engine harness and ecu..

Rep Power: 0 is it worth swapping the a3 in instead of the a2? the cost of the engine would be much less, but the power would also be much less. but lets say you want to go 200hp n/a? so i mean, a2 would obviously get you there, but the lower price of the a3 would be better with just a few mods no?

hello 7thgen members. i have done much research and am interested in swapping my crappy slow d17 for a slightly faster k20a3. now the thing is, i have no clue about the differences in the wiring. i haven't done any solid research, but i have heard that there are an extra 3 wires. if someone could please do the research for me, and let me know how to wire up the entire engine, i'ld be very greatful. have a good day.
