Insane built, boosted D16
Insane built, boosted D16
Damn, I met a guy at an autox this weekend that had a built, and boosted d16 and was making insane power. He was tunned at 10psi and he claimed to be making 293whp
. I really did not believe him until I saw how well his car moved in the straits (could not really keep it on course in the corners). I would say that those #s are amazing for only 10psi, he is planning on boosting 25psi and I can't immagine how much hp he will be making then.

i dont know where you ahve been but i have seen a few in the 900whp range lately. i like to read. ill stop at a maazine rack and read almost the whole thing every once in a while. just depends on the mag the writer and the article.

just because he is running 101 oct and 30psi doesnt mean its not streetable. i now a lot of peopel that use nothing less than 101. also the amount of boost pressure you run safely depends on the rest of the motor. so one motor could run 30 psi safely as to where another couldnt. again its all about the build and planning. i know of plenty of built bottom end cars that run 30psi on the street.

once again, i ask for linkage to sites that have info about CIVICS with b16's running 30psi and are also streetable. all of the things you have stated are rather redundant as i have done quite a bit of research (pretty much just reading while i was bored) and i really haven't come across 900hp b16s, or d16s that accomplish what the original poster stated. now if i have missed or some other way ommitted these readings from my platter, linkage would be much appreciated. thank you.
Trust me guys I am just as skeptical as the next guy. I just thought I would share becuase if it is true (who knows maybe his boost gauge was f'ed up) then a D17 should be capable of the same, maybe more. I will try to get more info on his setup and post it.

honda tuning is building a 400hp D16 in the mag and going step by step. if a d17 can do it then y not a d16. besides there r more parts readly available for it.

The DOHC and flowrates of the b16 play alot into it. We have a shop here that plays with B series (It's not a b16) but I'll post a few links of them.
