E-manage boost clamp/cut problem DEZOD THE MASTA!

Hello,

I am currently tuning my, my tuner has the the a/f good and timing. The only problem is that the MAP is seeing boost. We have tried 3 recomened by Dezod, 3.5, 4.5. 3 worked the best, but it is still seeing boost. Other then that, the car is running great and a/f is perfect.

Any advice?

I searched

EDIT

DEZOD IS THE ****!!!!!!!

3V leaves too much partial throttle to accomodate fuel with. Try 4.95V. Unless you have it wired in wrong or configured incorrectly. Are you going into limp mode?

CEL comes on when the map sees 2.93 volts +, trust me i spent 2 hours of dyno to figure this out! Clamp at 2.9 volts and you wont get the CEL

Dood with the clamp at 4.95 volts your gonna allow the ecu to see 12 lb of boost!!!!

I ran with 5V and never had one problem on my 7thgen.

Also, 2.93V leaves too much partial throttle to tune fuel for boost and regular driving. Nice way to max out the injectors quick.

Thats because you didnt run enough boost to need the clamp, you can get away with 6-7 psi with the injector correction feature since it reduced voltage of the map sensor, but once you go get up to 8lbs plus you need to clamp the voltage or else your gonna get the map sensor code. I hope you realize that if your clamping at 5 volts WOULD allows the ecu to see around 13lbs of boost.

Please explain how clamping the map sensor is gonna effect the partial throttle tune. IMO partial throttle tuning with the emanage is getting the injector correction (voltage reduction) combo right, Closed loop keeps the a/f ratio around 14.3-15.6 a/f ratio if you get below or above that while in closed loop youll get one of these codes........... P0171 system to LEAN, P0172 system to RICH.

hey thanks for the input guys! we tried 3 because of an old thread we searched up where Dezod recommended 3 but with more throttle tuning. We also tried 4.5 and other voltage clamp settings. none of them worked! The car is tuned to 9psi, the best setting was 3 but it still sees boost!

it does go into limp mode, once it does that it wont let me rev past 4k, airfuel and everything is fine though.

thats what my tuner was saying that it might be wired up wrong because the emanage isnt really doing its job right. But i have the plug n play harness from dezod.

hey dezod you going out to the glades 441 meet tomorrow night?

I was running 8.5 PSI on my D17 when I had it. ECU never saw boost.

When you clamp the voltage to a low voltage amount, the ecu stops the map from reading voltage above that point. Therefore, the ecu never thinks it exceeds, let's say 60%. When your exceeding that voltage span, the ecu does not know to deliver anymore fuel and spark so you have to tune for partial throttle and boost, which will max out the 310 injectors very quickly. Take it from experience........

im running 7.5 lbs of boost with a 5v clamp...never once had a CEL because of that, although i do get the system too rich code quite frequently.

What your failing to understand Dezod is that 2.9 is not a LOW amount, its the MOST your ECU will take before giving you the map sensor high voltage code.

2.9 volts is 0 vacuum, the same amount of volts the ecu would see if you were using a missing link.

I used the ML and my fuel curves we good, however I maxxed out a 310cc injector with only 147whp. Those injectors should max out on stock pressure at about 200whp.

Coming from the same guy who negative repp'd me and not believing the truth about Chris's spark plugs:

[negative rep] Dezod V3 and PCS perfect... 08-17-2006 12:32 PM Logan3024 thats bullshit hahahhahahh salesman!

Like we make sooo much money on spark plugs. LOL

We were informing the people what works and does it well.

The only way you would max out at 147 whp with 310cc injectors (there actually a little higher than that) is if you didnt add additional duty cycle.

310 cc injectors on about 60% duty cycle is probley around 150 whp, sounds about right. Theres people out there pusing 200 whp+ with these injectors with emanage.

As far as your rep is concerned

The injectors would not push anymore fuel. Simple as that.

Pot calling the kettle black.

Not gonna waste anymore of my time on your comments on this thread.

Have you thought about using "Missing Link"?
I use ML now and it work very well, I switched after MAP voltage box did not work with my MAP sensor.
