Downpipe?

When I got my car tuned Minh who tuned it said that the turbo would not spool pass 10.5 because there was a restriction. He adviced me to upgrade the downpipe and exhaust. Right now I have the downpipe that came with the TSI kit and a Apexi 2.25 exhaust system minus the cat converter. Any input would be great in letting me know what size downpipe and exhaust. Thanks

most of the time 2.25 is used for n/a car maybe 3.0 all the way back..the person to ask is turboengnr or boiler .....at most if it can fit three all the way back should good.

depends on the size of the turbo, I think 2.5 or 2.75 is fine for a T3 or a hybrid 3/4 you could go 3"... less restriction is always better, but size constraints start getting fun.
Also if you've got resonators, etc... in the exhaust and they're baffled, or the perferated tube kind, get them out... they're clogs.

Do you have a boost controller? lol. try using one of those first to raise the boost if you dont have one. 10.5 is a little much on a stock engine. Why do you want more, or are you built up?

Yeah, probably overkill on a 25. I'm running a 2.25. 2.5 would also be fine.

Yeah I have a turboXS dual stage controller. I'm thinking about Dezods downpipe and a custom 2.75 exhaust system.

Running 10.5 lbs, I would upgrade your fuel system before you upgrade your exhaust. Better yet, upgrade your exhaust and stick to 8-9 psi.
