Upsizing Injectors

The only way the 7thgen civics can upsize their injectors is by getting emanage. Well the 6thgen civic can upsize their injectors with apexi v-afc.
I met a guy the other day, he has a 2000 Si with 310 injectors and v-afc...
why are we not able to? does 6th gen have fuel return system unlike 7thgen which doesnt!!!
Thanks guys

emanage has whats called an injector correction factor. you put in what your stock injectors are and what you are changing them to and it calibrates them for you in order to tune more precise. The emanage is recommended over the vafc in both n/a and turbo due to the expanded tuning capability like ignition timing control and a broader range to tune your air and fuel mixture.

The emanage injector correction factor is garbage, imo. You can only run an injector up to a certain size, then it turns on the check engine light due to the current being drawn for the map sensor to correct the injectors.

The AFC does the same exact thing. The benefit to the emanage is the ability to control ignition timing which is quite useful but you need real management if you want to make real power.

Agreed, the emanage can only correct to a certain size. Its working fine for me with 310 cc injectors. Not everyone can afford real management (AEM EMS). Hell, I wish I could.

i got my apexi v-afc for $180 compared to emanage and all the harness plus the injectors that would be some where around $550, thats the basic emanage 300 + dezod pnp harness 150 + rsx injectors ~ 100 = 550

not that close

you still don't have anything to adjust ignition timing.

you need to read this thread.

EDIT: Keep in mind that this thread was made wayyy long before AEM EMS became available for our cars. If you want to go all out AEM EMS is truely the real way to go. You gotta pay to play.

yeah, aem ems is for real gear heads... i need more fuel thats all, not boosting the **** out of it... i did read that forum and thanks its good info, but the way i really but afc, emanage and aem ems. afc 0-6 psi, emanage 7-10psi, aem ems 11+ psi. i am at the 6 psi and i should go with afc in retard timing mode. its bad but it works for now. later on more boost and emanage will be required.

mainstream performance here in ga, i asked them how much for tunning the afc, they said one hour, which is $75. is it common for shops to tune a turboed car in an hour?
