Hey guys, stupid question:

I was laying in bed thinking last night, if someone got a k20a3 swap out of the Si, would they be able to use the tranny from the Si? The reason I ask is because of the location of the shifter...

you're not swapping the si's center console into the car, just the engine/tranny/ecu ..etc. the si's linkage is adapted to your car's shifter console. (lack of a better term)

how many people on these forums have k swaps and you are just now thinking of this question?

You can use the EP TRansmission but you will need RSX shifter cables.

you can swap the center console from the ep3 cause i was going to do it.. but... and a big BUT..... you need the center console frame also which will require you to drill some holes into your existing frame and what not... so i didnt want to go through all the hassle even though i had all the parts at one point

What's wrong with the SI shifter assembly? Once you get used to it it is a lot more natural than where the shifter is on most cars.
