ecu problem
okay...i'm in the middle of swapping a k20 and i have everything hooked up and ready to fire up the car....all harnesses are plugged in and i have fuel and spark....the car will crank...but will not start
so then i try using the ecu from my single cam d motor....it starts up right away....so i try to use the ecu i was given for the swap and it still won't start..
is this a fried ecu...or something else
do i need to get my key matched to the ecu at a honda dealership?

which k20 motor and ecu do u have?
if you have the type r ecu, there is a fix u can do temporarily to start it without reflashing the key.
don't run the itr ecu with a k20a3 or a2 though.

if you have both spark and fuel in the cylinder, it will fire.
fuel + air + spark = boom
if its not starting, you are missing one of the above. (unless the cams are installed incorrectly)

it elminates both... there is a way to get around the fuel pump on the US ecu but not the spark.. thats built into the ecu.. why do you think everyones using kpro... if not then you need to get the ecu reflashed

fuel pump definitely primes...i'm not sure about spark...
if i was to get my ecu reflashed by hondata would that eliminate the immobilizer...i know that you have to send them your key, ecu and immobilizer..would that work?

if you don't have k-pro and you don't have a typ-r computer you will need to program the key witch will have to be done by the honda dealer, i mod cars and know what needs to be done plus i work for a dealer do check your pm and i will get it done for you
