Hey Hondaluver, for the inspection portion before the smog test, did they say anything about your battery? I mean did they say anything about it's location? I'm assuming yours is in the trunk. Just curious. Thanks.

i'm guessing it has to be well secured so it doesn't leak. and also, it might need to be vented to the atmosphere somehow. not that mine is, never any problems, just wouldn't ever want someone smoking in the car

yea it needs to be vented, it lets off poisonous gases, they arent worried about you igniting the gas so much as you slowly losing air each breath and dying.

i doubt youll ever have a problem, plus our trunks arent that well sealed and there are some openings that will vent it when you open/close the trunk. just cus it can kill ya dont mean it will, most cars probably arent tight enough of a seal to cause a serious problem but the whole "must be vented" thing is just safety sake i guess.
