fit? yes.

work? ... probably not.

the new Si's are drive by wire ... even if you could run a throttle cable with the t/b, you'd need a throttle cable driven ecu.

-_-;;;

until someone figures out dbw, you'd probably have to use a 2002-04 rsx-s ecu and use kpro to tune it. even then, you're gonna throw a shitload of cel codes due to the whole car being different.

im sure it can be done, why not just convert it to normal TB and use a stand alone ECU?

You'd need a K-pro, you'd also need to modify the IM to work with a cable TB. There's stuff floating around the K series websites about using the IM because of the short runner design. Do some searching on K20a, K-series, etc....

yes, but ... you can't kpro the 05+ rsx ecu ... you can't k-pro the 06 Si ecu (yet)

the 06 Si ecu is what you're gonna need to run your car and all the little sensors ... otherwise you'll have a massive flurry of CEL's.

at least that's what I would think.

I'm sure there are many differences in how the Si and the rsx operate as I said a million times. that's what I don't think it would work.

Sooner or later, hondata is going to sort it out. Just give it time.... Kpro took a while to do the first time.

I think in the new Honda Tuning mag (January or Feburary issue) they have a whole section of new Si's that companies did up for SEMA or some **** and a couple of the companies used K-pro.

i think it would have some fitting issuses, first the motor is mounted differently, and its has an rbc IM which won't fit in our chassis cuz i'm have trouble fitting it on my k20....rad. support is too close to engine....and i'm sure there will be other issues..its just better to stick with the basic's and get an 02-04 type-s engie and mod it from there!!!!!

Does the engine even turn the same way?
From the pics I saw of the engine bay if looked like the IM and Ex man had switched places.
So you would need the complete engine and trany assembly. Thats a lot of work for 197hp.

I'm sitting here staring at the screen wondering why you would want it? Perhaps you'll say it's k20 powa! Well then go buy a k20a2, it works, we know, nuff said. Maybe you'll say but SMUG it has LSD, well go mate your k20a2 to a k20a tranny...

CarbonFiberSi is an unknown quantity at this point
If the new Si is anything like the TSX then the drive by wire throttle is simply a normal throttle cable from the gas pedal to a box mounted on the passenger side under the engine bay. It then gets converted to an electronic signal from there. Think of it along the lines of cruise control. So for a TSX swap, all you need is an RSX throttle body and throttle cable.
Not sure on the new Si though but with any luck it will be the same.

06 si is as good as 04 k20, but with LSD (!)
Probably you already know this, but I still want to get to the bottom of this.
Dropping 06 si engine you will get same ~200hp as k20, and you will have bigger bill to pay. At least the real advantage not seen here.
Whats you reason to take 06 k20 over 04 k20 ??

I take it back ... I don't believe the 06 Si engine would fit due to the intake manifold.

I took a look at some pictures and the RRB/RBC intake manifold is much longer than the PRB/PRC ... it will probably hit the metal core support (or whatever it's called) in front.

if you change out the intake manifold, then it will probably fit.
