My Dyno Results at 5.5 psi
Well here they are fellas, my results at 5.5 psi good or bad Im still posting them up. I plan one finishing the lower end up this winter. I think theres good potential with this setup. The car was tuned by Trick Engineering in Hampstead, NH
Mods include: AEM EMS, Zietronix wideband, Crower custom ground turbo cam, KMS valvetrain. D16y8 manifold w/d17 TB, complete return fuel system with DSM 450s and resistor box, custom S/S fuel rail, aeromotive FRP. HP longtube turbo header/downpipe, Garrett t3/t4 .48 AR 60 Trim. Mocal oil pump with custom alum expansion tank and other minor details for turbo oil return(low mounted turbos dont drain well) designed by myself and Rick from Trick Engineering, 2.5 inch custom exhaust with no cat. Clutchmaster clutch and flywheel, modified shift linkage, EGR blockoff plate, and lots of other stupid little things like different plugs, guages, and other stuff. The car redlines at about 7300, which is past peak power for my current tuning but if I shift too early I get some minor lag in the 3-4 shift. I was advised by Trick to leave the boost alone untill I get the lower end built, I am sticking with their advise because I like driving my car more than wrenching on it at this point. All this stuff was done on an 02 Factory Performance civic which also just had a new set of coilovers installed as well. Thanks to a lot of the members on this site for lots of techincal info. I really love driving this car!!

Damn thoes are some good numbers and its only 5psi. people here run 8-10 psi to get thoes numbers but then again you have Crower custom ground turbo cam, KMS valvetrain

Well I dropped the car off, tuning was $650. I couldnt pick it up till the following weekend but their shop rate is 70 per hour so Im guessing about a day. They do fuel economy/drivabilty tuning and then power tune after that. I know they spent good time on it because they used almost a half tank of gas. So i know they were thorough

the cam and EMS are totally sick man. Those 2 items make so much more power its not even funny. I have the spec list on the cam somewhere. If you call crower you can probably get that profile ground, Tell him Gerry Johnson's cam, it should be on file I guess. The best thing is that it didnt hurt drivability at all, not to mention highway cruising is still getting 30 mpg all day long at 70 and under if it stays in vac and out of vtec.

Also the Aem Ems has a lot to do with his high hp but i believe the Crower Cam has a lot to do with it too

Just shows what a good tune on an AEM EMS can do....
BTW, since you're like 20 minutes from me, we need to meet up so I can check that thing out...

those are some fawking awesome number. Im planning on running 8psi with rsx-s injectors and still debating if Ill pass the 200whp mark.
ALso people say dont redline like above 6800 rpm cause we lose power, but you made more power right before limiter which kicks in at 7k.

Havok, I can meet you on RT3 somewhere and take you for a spin, hell you can drive it, I dont mind. Anyone here can call Trick Engineering at 603 329 6083 to confirm. The numbers are legit. ^With the EMS, my rev limiter is what ever I want it to be, and you have to remember that I have changed a ton of stuff which changes the power curve. Guys as for price, I honestly couldnt tell ya to be honest, probably around 6-8k, probably more, I dont want to stop to add it up because Im afraid to know what it costs to make a D17 go descent hehe.

Great numbers! Is anyone else running Crower valvetrain components on their D17? That's where it's at. (I guess the EMS and your tuner had a little bit to do with it too
)
I want you to turn your boost up so bad. Just a couple psi. Do it. You know you want to do it. Do it. You'll be fine, come on.
