Hi everyone,
I have the TSI kit installed and am currently running 7psi. I fixed my problem with running lean, and everything seems to be good now. What would I need to do to run 10psi? I'm pretty sure that 10psi would be a big jump for me, but I don't want to totally trash my engine. Therefore, I figured I would need to get some additional parts. Can someone give me a list of the parts that I would need to get to safely run 10psi?
Thanks,
Zach

I have the tsi kit as well. I ran 10psi daily and 13 at the track for 2 years with no problems. tuning is everything though. I would upgrade the clutch and flywheel if i where you but 10psi on stock internals is not that big of a deal. Also look in to a better head gasket. nippon leakless is what i used and it held up great. Just remember tuning..tuning ..tuning. get it just right and youll have no problems. If you need any advice feel free to pm me anytime.
You were running 10psi on the stock engine? Will that severly lower the life of my car? Also, I didn't think you could make it go over 8 without a boost controller, am I wrong? Finally, I was a big idiot when I bought this car and didn't know how to drive a stick, so I got an auto tranny, will that matter? Thanks.
If you want to do it right and do it smart, you need to get something that will pull timing. Easiest fix....emanage with rsx injectors. That'll be a safe bet and you can get rid of the tsi fuel controller with the sub injectors.

true in some cases.. I am running 12 psi with my TSI kit on a stock motor and my built TCI auto tranny , I put down 206 hp and 168 ft lb of torque after the work was done. but it needs tuning thats the whole issue of anyone .

I supose you could have the gears cryo treated? I guess a good place to look might be central florida turbo? You see the videos online pretty frequently of cars they built up.. ITR's or RSX-Ss.. supposedly around 500HP. The black ITR shop car was pretty damn fast on video if I remember correctly.. I've also seen them on TV during Nopi Tunervision (speed TV). I believe they sponsor one of the big boosted I4 Hondas... even though it usually gets it's *** kicked, it still proves they know how to make a fast car.
I guess the real question is not if you can 'build up' your trans.. the question should be.. do you have the $$$ to build up your trans. Ofcourse it can be done! Just about anything can be done if you have the money.. isn't that how it always goes? hehe okay, this was a useless answer.
