i would say over where the more left arrow is. if you put it right at the intake (right arrow), you may have problems with clearance with the hood (unless you plan to run topless! )

I've heard that the most efficient places to put blow off valves are either as close to the throttle plate or as close to the intercooler as possible.

For a minimal boost setup, it won't really matter. Optimal is as close to the intercooler as possible. Most people making real power mount it on the intercooler.

Would you please be kind enough to explain why mounting the BOV on or as close to the intercooler as possible would be better in higher boost setups?

Here is a copy of a post I found in another forum. It's one thought on why as close to the throttle as possible is a good position.

Just think of it in velocity, the air is already moving that direction, it is almost at it's run thru the intake(before the throttle plate) and coming out of hte biggest storage chamber in the system. Best spot to vent, the end of the storage tank. It just keeps for a smoother air pattern into the throttle plate.

I'd mount it closer to the throttle. That way after you blow off and boost is running through your intake charge pipe it won't have far to go before it hits the throttle whereas the further down it is the farther the air has to travel. Then again mounting it closer to the ic means the temp will be cooler as it travels up the pipe towards the throttle.

its better mounted further from the throttle...hood clearance and performance wise...the closer it is to the intercooler the better but u want to have it the the left arrow is cuz thats one of my most optimum positions for it

If its anything like the full race versions i've seen it makes tons more power than a good ss log.

it is true, closer to the throttle body is the best...but obviously as close as you can get it w/o messing with your hood clearance...

cause when the tb plate closes, it can vent right away, and its the furthest from the turbo, which reduces chance of compressor surge
