Rep Power: 324 Anybody wanna start a "Tuning 101" Thread...
for those like myself who dont know much about tuning....maps, differences between obd1 and obd2, tune programs......i dunno, i along with a lot of other people have no clue to what this **** is and i thought that this would be a good idea
not even focusing on 7thgen's....just in general.... like that huge thread posted about nitrous, nothing specific, just an overview of everything.

obd2 is from 96.5 year models and up (pretty much 96+) and its on board diagnostics.
it is improved from obd1 because on obd1 youd have to enter a ton of info on the scantool and it was a pain in the *** plus it was just alot more difficult to do and i dont think it had as many codes and diagnostic help as obd2. obd2 you just plug the scantool under the dash (diff in some cars) and just turn car off for 10 seconds then turn on and all codes pop up telling you whats wrong with code number you lookup for possible causes. someon can verify more on obd1 because i believe theyre codes are just less specific.
