majestic honda was 30.92 plus like 7 bucks s&h. 70 bucks, dude, you got beat.Go back to hat dealership and kick that guy in the nuts. I would strongly suggest buying arp headstuds, the d16z listing fits our cars fine. You are supposed to replace the factory fasteners any way and its not too much more for the headstuds. Nippon leakless HG is the only way to go IMO. We have run them on our cars and have had no problems. Blown headgaskets usually come from weak or stretched fasteners or poor tuning. Sometimes from overheating though too. The factory gasket for the d17 is a three layer steel gasket which is just fine for our motors.

^your running 12 psi daily right, i am curious, do you have head studs or is the methanol injection enough?
EDIT: got you mixed up with someone else, sorry, 9psi daily driver, whoops.
Anyway, have you had any problems with leaking HG, or does the methanol lower the temps enough where you do'nt?
NM about head studs read your profile.

Does everybody know that Nippon Leakless is the OEM HG that honda sells? They dont make anything else, but the nippon. That is the brand that makes ours.

Just a heads up, so people dont search all over for one, when its OEM.

JackBurton are you asking me? If so Im running 8ish around town with no meth. I have headstuds with the oem gasket and my car runs off of an AEM EMS with dsm blue top injectors w/resistor box, y8 manifold w/d17 tb and idle control, and custom fuel system along with a KMS valvetrain and crower custom stage 3 turbo cam. Im playing it safe this time untill my lower end is finnished and ready to install. It prolly makes as much power on 8 as it made before on 11-12 so I dont wanna crank it up any more than that. So dont worry about that gasket if you get headstuds, worry about rod bolts stretching. I put d16 rod bolts in the stock D17 block for a safety as well. I had a problem with stretched rod bolts.

My stock gasket bit the dust early. Fully tuned and was doing good for about 3 months. After pulling the head and buying another gasket this is what the shop in modesto ( Bell & Gains racing engines) SOld me.

Its a spray that you coat the headgasket with to give it alittle extra strenght. They use this on big block chevys. SO far its working pretty good.

Here is what the stock gasket looks like

Here is the spray that you use. Coat both sides of the gasket let it dry for about 10 minutes and then install.
