Depends though Andy. Sometimes better 60fts will drop trap speed and e.t. Generally though yeah, you can tell a lot by what a car is trapping. 106 isnt too shabby at all, shows lots of potential.

60/ft doesnt lower trap speed. The tires normally used to obtain low 60/ft's cause low trap speeds.

i gained 3 mph due to a .5 drop in 60/ft.

Think of it this way....

if you have the same tire, same pressure.... If at 60 ft you are physically moving faster, that means you accellerated faster. So your speed at the 60 ft mark is faster. So your overall trap speed should be faster.

But like andy said, trap speed does determine power much better than actual times.

With better track conditions and lower pressure in the tires, with that trap, a 12 is doable. Not bad for a stock motor. When I get it back together, I will run a 12 on a stock motor.

Thinking about it more you are more than likely right about the 60foots but for whatever reason it always seems when there is some wheel spin the trap speeds are a little higher from what I have observed at NE Dragway. Maybe its a freak track thing??? Either way, NBD, hehe. Andy run a damn 12 with that thing to shut everyone up lol, I know its gunna be capable.

A 12.0 or a 12.99 are both 12's.

Sweet maybe I will see you up there from time to time ncirom. I didnt run my civic at all last year. Lots of problems before the AEM last year. I go to almost every even and have spent some time on the track and A TON of time observing. I have a few friends that run professionally at the track that I am learning from. Most are of the RWD crowd though. Be on the lookout next year though. My car, the H22a turbo accord, an H22a all motor accord, white ls/vtec turbo civic coupe should be amoung the imports I am with on street nights.

and........you avoided the question but eitherway there is a HUGE! difference between a 12.99 and a 12 flat.
if you go around saying you run 12's i dont know wether your as quick as an 03 cobra or a 03 murcielago (12.9-12.0)
either way is damn impressive and i applaud you for even getting low 13's.
