Everyone has had problems with the kit, it's not just you. Some people even had to make new piping.

The intake rubber pipe is a tight fit. It will work fine exept you should consider it as a tepm solution. Too restrictive at the place where it bends.
The little rubber elbow placed @ turbo inlet. lille connector pipe is a connection for the main intake hose.
1. rubber connector elbow placed at about 45' upwards and towards front of the car (it kinda has to "look" towards hood lock)
2. attach metal extention
3. Connect intake hose to " turbo" as the last step. Take it first from the battery side under the radiator hose (intake should bend and its elbow should look towards battery)
4. connect air filter with engine ventilation nipple
5. connect ventilation hose (diamtr isnt right) from filter with engine

manifold wont fit with out saving angle in the right top
intercooler pipes fit fine and eazy, undercarrige plastics and wheel arches to be trimmed, but bov has to be thight up from the left wheel arch
the kit may look hard to intall, you will think pieces dont fit together, but it is just because engine bay space is so tight. You have to try many different approaches to install each item. Installing TSI is a long and painfull process.

link for the TSI computer wiring:
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=207055

link for the TSI computer explanation:
http://www.turbodiscounters.com/html/fuel.aspx

post your concerns in this forum and I will try to guide you through the install.

I'm trying to tune my car with this kit now.

good info. It all fits, unlike what some people say. He is completely right. Its just cuz we have a tight engine bay. If you installed any other kit, you would still have the same room to work with, and thats what takes so long.

Good luck, you will be happy once you have it installed. Took me a weekend with a couple friends. I could do it in about 5 or 6 hours now Id think by myself. Except the wiring would take another hour.

best of luck to you!

What were your problems before? I hope it all works out for ya, I am extremely happy with my kit! Car drives very nice, and its much quicker than before. 10psi seems so slow now though. I need about 15 to keep me happy...for a little while.

This one is difficult, I had (have) same problem.
I think it might bite me in the azz later, but this what I did:
I was vary careful and slow...just screw the oil "T" into the engine block, I think I damaged threads in the eng.block, but so far it holds...

yeah, do what he said. Thats how I did it, but I didnt damage the threads. Mine fit perfect.

My car kept blowing fuses the other day when I first drove my car after the long long long wait. Its because there was one area I soldered a wire and forgot to put electrical tape on. It blew about 3 fuses, than I looked for a prob. I was moving wires around until the fuse would blow, than I knew where to look/fix. It was my boost or a/f gauge.

For making the car go quicker, just get a new intake. It will spool faster/louder. Not that it isnt loud as hell anyways. Just start working on internals so you can turn up the boost.
I am running 10psi on stock internals. Not a single upgrade other than the exedy organic, which I LOVE! very close to stock feel, and grips so much faster than stock.

If I knew where my installation manual was, I would e-mail you a copy, but I dont have it. Sorry. It couldbe at my moms house, but I moved out of there recently. When I go back, maybe tonight, I will look for them.

Peace

Did you install the clutch yourself. I got the same one with an act flywheel from streetlevelperformance and I found the diy for clutch kit install in one of these forums and Im questioning if I should do it, with the help of some of my skilled friends. And how much did it cost if you got someone else to do it for you???? THanks Bump

yeah, check the clutch slave. Its to the left of the headers/turbo manifold. Connects to the shift fork. There is a rubber boot on the tranny that covers the shift fork,a nd the clutch slave presses into there. It has a line, that goes out of it, and near the battery. It connects to the same part as where the battery is grounded. FOllow that line, and youll find the slave.

If its busted, get a new one. only 2 bolts to replace it. Than you have to bleed it, and bleed it, and bleed it. A pump was the only way we could get the pressure back. Bleeding and pumping the pedal did NOT work for me, but everybody else apparently it did

Also check your Master Cylinder. more than likely, if its busted, it will be leaking brake fluid near your pedal, INSIDE the car. We have to pump about 10 bottles worth of fluid to get it bled correctly. We only used 2 bottles, but kept flushing the same through til no more bubbles were there.

Good luck!

U need to use only the 1st one, I believe its socket #2
Then you connect it to the black wire on your injector (2 injector wires go to 1 brown wire)
red wires from inj goes to constant +12V

You hit Function to go through the settings. After EACH setting, hit OK to save them. It will go back to the main screen, and hit function again to scroll through and get to the next settings

If you want some rich settings, which I am running they are

rpm - whatever, this doesnt work, just leave it stock
OK

del - 40sec (how long for your turbo timer to stay on)
OK

0psi-14.0ms
1psi-16.0ms
2psi-18.0ms
3psi-20.0ms
4psi-22.0ms
5psi-24.0ms
6psi-26.0ms
7psi-28.0ms
8psi-30.0ms
9psi-32.0ms
10psi-34.0ms
11psi-36.0ms
OK

RPM (most people DONT use this, I do to help with boost lag/running lean not before boost ~-5hg~ to ~0hg~) I only set up to 4500rpms
1500-1.2ms
2000-1.6ms
2500-2.0ms
3000-2.4ms
3500-2.8ms
4000-3.2ms
4500-3.6ms
OK

Adjust Rate-63%
OK

Max Boost-8psi (this doesnt work for ****, whatever you want to set it to)
OK

hg-08 acyc-4.0ms
OK

The hg setting for the last part^^, helps with smoothing out boost or making it more agressive. If I set it to hg - 11, my car picks up much more, and its much better for track/race. hg - 09 works good for me in the winter for normal daily driving. Right now its 116 out, and I have it set for hg - 08.

So you will need to mess with that, and the fuel. You will run rich off these settings. No matter where you live you should be rich. My settings are way above everybody elses, but I needed these for the proper a/f. So I would get tuned ASAP! Dont drive far untuned, or unhook a charge pipe until you get tuned.

If you dont hit OK after each setting, it will/can reset on you while your driving. Mine resets anyways cuz its a POS. I am the only one with this prob though. Other than one person with the eManage who cant save his settings either.

Your running too rich it sounds. I would take fuel out. probably a lot. Start with settings around

0psi-6.0ms
1psi-7.0ms
2psi-8.0ms
3psi-9.0ms
4psi-10.0ms
and so on......

You really need the car tuned professionally. These settings may get you running decent, eventually when you find some good ones, but you dont know how lean or rich you will be running

You will still probably be a little rich. Where are you located, how hot is it outside? What altitude?

A boost controller is a nice thing to have as well. I have the Greddy Profec-b. It works awesome, and learns how you drive. So as you shift, it helps to make it a lot smoother for your driving habits, plus smoother acceleration, helps with boost spike, and boost lag, and easier acceleration

A boost controller is a nice thing to have as well. I have the Greddy Profec-b. It works awesome, and learns how you drive. So as you shift, it helps to make it a lot smoother for your driving habits, plus smoother acceleration, helps with boost spike, and boost lag, and easier acceleration
Hey,
I think I'm at the end of chain with my idle issue, I will test my theory today after work and let you know!

If it works out I will be able to "play" with settings later on.

I agree now, TSI is GAY to install.

My install review: TSI kit comes complete with all parts and hardware, but be prepared to spent exxxxtra time on getting parts working together.
