VTEC killer...

what exactly is a "VTEC killer camshaft"? i saw ads in a car magazine from Toda and Crower showing these camshafts. is there any difference between the VTEC killer camshaft and the ones that truehonda is selling?

thanks guys

it eliminates VTEC ... basically there is only a high-lift lobe and no secondaries.

Vantage should not be trusted
they make huge top end gains, but lose a lot of low end power. i had a friend using them, he didnt like them. now uses toda D's.

that's why Toyota initially developed valve-timing; small displacement engines perform like @$$ down low with a high performance cam. Imagine a DC2 type R with LESS torque. Bigger displacement engines can handle the straight high lift cam w/ no problems b/c they naturally have so much torque.
