K Series Engine
K Series Engine
Ok i've been reading and doing alot of research on K-series engines... so far i've come to the various engines are what...
K20a3 Base RSX and Civic Si
K20a2 2002-2004 RSX type-s
K20z 2005-??? RSX type-s
K20a JDM Integra Type-R
K20a _________
K24- Honda CRV / Honda Accord
k24a2 - TSX
Now here is where im lost the k24a2/k20/k20a2/k20z all have true v-tec while the the si and base have a different cam set up... Also there is some sorta other k20a, that has a different set up than the JDM k20a... I'm just wondering where it comes from and whats the difference between it and the JDM k20a...

yea... the element is the k24a4(9.7:1), same as the accord engine, the k24a1(9.6:1) is the crv
i have tried researching that engine, but i can't find out where this might come from, it has a 87 mmx86mm bore compared to a 86x86. it has 3 lobs on the intake side and only 1 on the exhaust side, i think this might come from the euorpean type R, which makes aprox 200 hp. i might be wrong on this note, but it is a very interesting engine, i wish i could find more specs on it
but this engine is so rare that i doubt u would find it.
there is not that many after market stuff for this engine, so i doubt you would want to play with it anyways
